ROCKIN!

By Dane Wortley(Owner), Sep. 10, 2009

I got a 2010 iron 883 and so far love it. it can keep up with my friends riding bigger bikes. Im 5'6 and this is the best bike for my size. Both feet can sit flat when stopped and the riding position is VERY comfortable. If you are looking for a big with a lot of gadgets...look else where. The Iron ... provides only what you need to ride and thats why i love it. Keeping it simple allowed Harley to make sure what they did was the best they could do and they did that well. if you find that you need more power out of this bike in the future there is a 1200 conversion kit offered by Harley, and when added into the MSRP is STILL cheaper than the 1200 nightster. nothing to complain about yet, but remember i just got his a few days ago, im sure its not perfect, but it will take a lot to make me regret this desicion! Why did I Wait so Long for a Harley?

By Andrew Hooper(Owner), Jan. 20, 2010

Maybe I should have done this years ago. The 2010 Sporty is by far the best looking standard Harley and there is little to complain about. Maybe the brakes are a bit wooden and could do with a bit more power, and there are times (when running it in) that I would have liked a tacho. That's it for the... complaints, really. On the plus side, it has more than enough power and torque for those of us who have survived 30 years of motorcycling, it looks SO cool with the optional saddle seat, and it's handling is rock steady. My only plans - apart from riding it daily - are for Screamin Eagle slip-on mufflers and a pin-striping job on the front and rear guards and petrol tank. The Sporty also complements my mildly customised 63 Studebaker Lark: they both look like they've come from the same era. Getting to work is so much fun, now. Likewise going home. Treat yourself! Great Bike!

By Monte McKay(Owner), Oct. 7, 2010

I really love my Iron 883. It is a great bike to commute to work on. It handles great and has enough power for the type of bike it is. It makes getting to work fun, and it is cool for rides on the weekend. If you are looking for a great reliable transprotation that looks cool, this bike is the way t... o go! Read Full Review

Perfect Bike

By Dave(Owner), Aug. 19, 2012

My wife is 4'10" and 95 lbs. She rides this bike like a banchee. She can easily hit 100 mph on the open road. She gets 30+ mpg and rides more than most people I know (15,000 miles a year). We bought it new, and have done nothing to it except oil changes and tires in 3 years. I ride a big 96ci a... nd I can;t keep up with her light to light in the city. it is quick, clean and reliable. If you are a smaller person or a beginner rider, this is the Harley for you!!! Read Full Review

Perfect for My Wife

By Dave(Owner), Jun. 22, 2014

My wife is 4'10" and 95#. We looked at a bunch of bikes. After a year on a Rebel 250 getting comfortable, we decided on an Iron. This bike is perfect. She can keep up with any Harley on the road (I can't catch her until 4th gear). It is perfect height and she is not intimidated by it. If you ar... e short and the bike is just a little tall for you, change the seat from the stock 883 seat to the stock Nightster seat. It is a little thinner and gives another 1/2" or so. Still love the bike and she rides about 2oomiles a week. Read Full Review
